    Barros wines are a celebration of Portuguese talent. They express a talent which is very Portuguese, enhanced by experience and knowledge. They were created in the beginning of the 20th century, in 1913, and soon became a reference brand to Port wine consumers. In honour of the Portuguese consumer, Barros wines encompass Port Tawny wines and Port Ruby wines.

  • Croft

    The Croft brand is one of the most illustrious of all Porto wine producing houses. Founded in 1588, it is the oldest company in the area and is particularly known for its Vintage Port wines, its range of Port Reserva wines aged in wood and also for its Tawnies, styles that last in time thanks to the skill and experience that has been passed on from generation to generation.

  • Dow's

    For over two centuries the name Dow's is referred to as one of the best Port wines. Throughout the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, the Symington generations have worked in Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira, creating from these vines superbly concentrated, intense and tannic wines when young, with aging appearing elegance and perfume with aromas of violet and mint. The driest finish constitutes the distinctive brand image of the wines of this great company of Port Wines.

  • Graham´s

    Founded in 1820, Graham's has two of the best properties in the Douro Valley: Quinta dos Malvedos and Quinta do Tua, which produce wines of exceptional quality with great structure, richness and complexity. Graham's is an independent company, owned 100% by the Symington family, producers of Port wine since the 19th century and whose ancestors were the origin of the first exports of Porto in 1652. Graham's is recognized as one of the reference producers of Porto Vintage.

  • Poças

    It all began in 1918 when on 15 August, a few months before the Armistice, Manoel Domingues Poças Júnior, born in the heart of the Port Wine hustle and bustle, decided to establish his own company.
    Manoel Poças was 30 years old and he had some experience in this business. With his uncle, he created a company to sell grape spirits to large Port Wine shippers. Soon afterwards he opened the head offices in Vila Nova de Gaia, where they remain to this date.

    First his uncle, then his brothers, his wife and his grand- children: the entire Poças family shared his passion for the wine, combining a respect for tradition with minds open to the innovations the new generations introduced.

    Today, with three quintas in the best winemaking areas of the Douro Demarcated Region, Poças ensures its total control over the quality of its wines and the family is more involved than ever before.

    The Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges is a Portuguese wine company, headquartered in Rio Tinto, Porto, founded by the brothers António and Francisco Borges in 1884.

  • Sandemam

    Sandeman is a Port wine brand founded in 1790. It is well known for the logo featuring a man named Don dressed in a Portuguese student cape and a large Spanish hat. In addition to Port wines, it also produces Xerez, Brandy and Madeira wine.

  • Quevedo

    Quevedo is part of a new generation of small family wineries based in the Douro. For many years, these families were growing grapes, and making Port wine, for merchants based in Vila Nova de Gaia. When Portugal joined the European Union in 1986, legislation changed to allow both grape growers and wineries in the Douro to export their wines directly to the retailer. As a result of this new legislation, the family brand “Quevedo” was born.

  • Agri Roncão

    Created to achieve an old dream of its founder, Agri-Roncão was founded to produce wines of great quality.

    Born in Penafiel, Vinhos Verde region, Domingos Ribeiro recovers from scratchQuinta de Linhares (located in the Sub-region of Sousa) and Quinta da Levandeira do Roncão, in the heart of the Douro region.

  • Churchill Estates

    Churchill's was founded in 1981 and is the only British Port Wine company to be established in 50 years. John Graham, the founder, had thus fulfilled the desire to produce a wine with its own individual style.

  • Krohn

    Krohn was founded in 1865 by two young Norwegians, Theodor Wiese and Dankert Krohn. Over the next century and a half the company has built up a remarkable reputation thanks to its aged Port Wines, particularly the Harvest. Krohn is also known for its elegantly built Vintage, which originates from its property in the Torto River valley, Quinta do Retiro Novo.

    Quinta do Crasto, S.A. is a Portuguese company that produces wines from the Douro and Porto, located in Gouvinhas, Sabrosa county, Northern Portugal.   • Rozés

    Founded in Bordeaux in 1855, by Ostende Rozès, a fine wine merchant from that city, Rozès started by importing and marketing Port Wine.

  • Quinta do Vesúvio

    Quinta do Vesuvio is one of the most magnificent farms in the Douro valley and stands out for its remote location and pure grandeur. There are mentions of Quinta do Vesuvio in historical records as old as those dating from 1565.
    In 1989, Quinta do Vesuvio was acquired by the Symington family, which has a long presence in the Douro since the 17th century, with ancestors spanning thirteen generations.

  • Quinta de Roriz

    Quinta located in a natural amphitheater on the banks of the Douro, acquired by Prats & Symington from the van Zeller family in 2009. It was bought by Robert Archibald in the 18th century, which converted it to wine production, making this farm the first one owned by a family in the Douro region.

  • Quinta do Vale Meão

    Fifth constituted by lands purchased by public auction from the Town Hall of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, between 1877 and 1879, by Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, whose dream was to build from scratch a model exploration. Since then, the farm has always been in the possession of its descendants, and its trinete Francisco Javier de Olazabal and his sons acquired the entire estate in 1994.

  • Barão de Vilar

    The Barão de Vilar - Vinhos, S.A. is the most recent Port Wine Company, having been established in January 1996, from a stock of wines acquired by Fernando Luiz van Zeller, ceded to his two sons, Fernando and Álvaro.

  • Quinta dos Murças

    Located in the center of DOC Douro, it is characterized by the presence of 8 terroirs very marked by the mountains, by the different altitudes and solar expositions, by the schistous soils and by the characteristic climate of the Douro river valley.     Founded in 1845, JH Andresen is one of the few Portuguese port houses with 100% family ownership. All Andresen Ports are now vinified at Quinta das Aranhas, near the Tua River, in the heart of the Douro region.

  • Quinta da Casa Amarela

    Quinta da Casa Amarela is located on the left bank of the Douro River, halfway between the towns of Régua and Lamego, in the heart of the oldest Demarcated World Region - DOURO, in the spot classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.   • Quinta de Ventozelo

    It is one of the largest and oldest properties in the Douro Demarcated Region. Its origins date back to the early nineteenth century, before being referenced on the Baron de Forrester map in 1848. The first harvests were made by the Cistercian monks who populated the region during the Middle Ages, playing an important role in promotion of local agriculture.

    The Butler brand, Nephew & Cº, was established in the city of Porto by H. Burmester and John Nash in 1730 and, like most British companies of the time, they were traders and exporters under the designation Burmester, Nash & C. .
    In 1789 J. Nash and H. Burmester dissolved society, and James Butler, company clerk, took over the company and the company became Nash, Butler & C.

    Twenty years later, Mr. J. Butler became a partnership with Mr. Tyndale, nephew of Mr. Nash, and the designation of the company was Butler, Tyndale & C. In 1829, James Butler's nephew, Robert Butler, joined the company and the designation was again changed to Butler, Nephew & C.

    The company dedicated itself to the exclusive, high quality wine trade, a policy that continues until today, with Christie's Port Wine Producer & Shipper, Ldª., The brand's current owner.

  • Quinta do Pégo

    Quinta do Pégo is located in the Douro Demarcated Region, or more precisely, in the sub-region of Cima Corgo, near the town of Pinhão. It is also located in the heart of the area classified as World Heritage by UNESCO.

    The grapes grown in this area are considered of the highest quality, and thus are used for making Vintage Ports, Late Bottled Vintage Ports and Douro DOP reds with elegant character.

  • Quinta de S. José

    Quinta de S. José is a family project that began in early 1999 by the will of the João’s father, Ruy Brito e Cunha, due to the excellent location of the houses in the Quinta, practically on the side of the river. The houses were restored, respecting the framing and typical materials of the Douro region.

    In 2005, João Brito e Cunha bought to his family the entire area of vines, bushes and trade-mark of Quinta de S. José to devote to the project of production and marketing of branded wines from Quinta de S. José. The estate has an area of 10 hectares of vineyards and the property integrates the Douro Valley, area classified as "World Heritage Site".

    Early in 2011, together with his wife Sofia, decided to assume guest tourism area, in order to create synergies between the two projects: Touris and Wine

  • Quinta do Sagrado

    Located in the heart of the Douro, Quinta do Sagrado has 20 hectares of terraced vineyards. The vineyards planted in 14 plots separated by vineyards, in addition to its privileged situation, washed by the river and impacted by all the diversity of the Douro, give Quinta a unique production of quality and high reputation.

    Quinta do Pôpa is one of the youngest and most creative wine producers in the Douro Vinhateiro. It is in Adorigo, Tabuaço, in the oldest demarcated wine region in the World: the Alto Douro Vinhateiro.
