Cortes de Cima Dois Terroirs White Wine
This lot of Verdelho, Viognier and Alvarinho results from the combination of two different terroirs. Verdelho and Alvarinho, planted in the sands of the fresh Atlantic coast, contribute with freshness, that balances the abundant fruit of Viognier, fermented in barrels, planted in the clayey soils on limestone in the interior of the region.
In 1988, an American-Danish couple set off on a sailboat to find a place to raise a family and plant a vineyard. They arrived in the Alentejo, and in a land of white varieties they planted red varieties. And so begins the history of Cortes de Cima wines.
