Courela red wine produced at Herdade Cortes de Cima, Alentejo region
In 1988, an American-Danish couple set off on a sailboat to find a place to raise a family and plant a vineyard. They arrived in the Alentejo, and in a land of white varieties they planted red varieties. And so begins the history of Cortes de Cima wines

- It has an intense ruby color and ripe fruit character. It is characteristically a light red wine, to be consumed young.

- The grapes are fermented without lobsters, at controlled temperatures, with regular reruns, and little prolonged maceration to maintain the characteristic freshness of the fruit and structure and balance of tannins.
- No aging in barrels.
