<p>The Sovibor - Soc. Vinhos de Borba, Lda. Is a Commercial Society by Quotas constituted by public deed, the 16 of December of 1968.<br />It is the result of the merger of two small producers who started their activities many years before 1968 and later created the firms Manuel Joaquim Mira and Domingos Luiz Pinto &amp; Filho, Lda., Both with wide traditions in the wine field. Therefore, and as a result of such merger, SOVIBOR is managed by people traditionally linked to the wine business.</p>

<p></p><p>In Zambujeira do Mar, where the high temperatures of the Alentejo are mitigated by the Atlantic, the concentration typical of inland viticulture is balanced by the freshness and humidity of the sea, leading to ideal maturation. The grapes ripen, thus, in a slow and balanced way, with cool and wet winters, mild summers and the constant presence of the sea winds, creating wines where elegance overrides robustness.</p>

<p></p> <p>Vinha das Virtudes, a project that has as its main inspiration the seven virtues of the epic poem of Prudencio, a Roman poet who lived between the years 348 and 410. It portrays in Psichomachia a battle between virtues and vices, which illustrates the struggle of soul against the seven deadly sins, in which virtues always triumph. </p>

<p></p> <p>André Herrera de Almeida started his activity as a winemaker in the final stage of his degree, after sharing harvests in both hemispheres he settled in Portugal where he gives oenological consultancy to four small producers in Alentejo.<br />Torero wines are produced in Murteirinha, André's family estate and are intended to be signature wines, with their own character, that do not want to occupy but share a space increasingly open to new challenges, and because the challenge is a characteristic of youth, the image is appealing to a market that is increasingly informed and global</p>
