<p>Vinha dos Utras is often regarded by both national and international critics as one of the best and most original Portuguese white wines, regularly achieving superb scores and becoming a true object of cult for collectors. Vinha dos Utras is a mythical property located in the region of Criação Velha, perched right above the sea. The centennial vines are planted directly into the cracks of the volcanic rock (black lava) and are shielded from the sea wind and salinity by traditional stone corrals. <br /><br />The extreme proximity to the Atlantic Ocean causes the waves, on stormy days, to directly splash the vines, conferring the wine a unique and irreplicable identity. This distinctive character, shaped by the natural elements of its location, sets Vinha dos Utras apart as a wine of unparalleled excellence and originality.</p>

<p>1º Jeirões São Mateus Verdelho White Wine is a unique product of the Azores Designated Region, more precisely, the Island of Pico - a one-of-a-kind terroir globally recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its volcanic stone corrals. The vineyards of São Mateus are planted right by the coast, on soils formed by volcanic rock (black lava). To protect the vines from the strong winds and salinity of the Atlantic Ocean, the plants are sheltered by overlapping stone walls, locally known as corrals. The process of harvesting this wine involves selective manual harvesting and selection on a sorting table. Whole bunch pressing takes place, followed by racking after 6 hours. Spontaneous fermentation occurs in 600-1000L horizontal vats (70%) and in used French oak barrels (30%). This meticulous process results in a unique wine that embodies the character of its extraordinary place of origin.</p>
