Comenda Grande Grande Reserva Red is a wine of dense garnet color, showcasing an aromatic exuberance and complexity derived from the combination of its constituent grape varietals and the aging woods. What stands out is the perception of ripe fruit, a slight floral note, and hints of cocoa, all in perfect harmony. This wine is a testament to the mastery of blending and aging, resulting in a beverage that is not only delightful to the palate, but also a feast for the senses. It embodies an exceptional balance of flavors, making it a perfect companion for a variety of dishes and occasions.

Quinta do Mouro is located at the gates of the city of Estremoz, and belonged for centuries to the Zagalos family, one of the wealthiest in town. This original "quinta" in Alentejo, where the vast estates dominate, has an 18th century grooved house, charming gardens, bowls and 18th century tanks. In 1979, at the age of 26, luck dictated Miguel Louro's fate at a poker table, among friends, when he had the dilemma of buying a Porsche or Quinta do Mouro. The first hectares of vineyard would be planted in 1989, after a failed incursion into cattle breeding, and today he is one of the most iconic wine producers in the region.
