Cossart Gordon Verdelho Colheita 2008 Madeira Wine

Cossart Gordon Verdelho Colheita 2008 is an elegant single-vintage Madeira wine made from Verdelho grapes harvested by hand at peak ripeness. The vineyards are located in elevated, terraced plots, where the Atlantic influence and volcanic soils provide optimal conditions for this variety. Following fermentation, the wine is matured using the traditional canteiro method in oak casks. This process, combined with the age of the wine, fosters a refined structure and ensures layers of complexity and minerality that reflect its origin.

In the glass, Cossart Gordon Verdelho Colheita 2008 Verdelho shows a bright topaz colour with golden hues. On the nose, it delivers an expressive bouquet of citrus zest, dried apricots, tropical fruit notes, and subtle oak nuances. The palate is dry, fresh and full-bodied, with crisp acidity balancing the fruit flavours and a long, clean finish. Perfect as an aperitif or paired with lighter seafood and savory dishes, this Madeira offers a modern yet classic expression of Verdelho that rewards both contemplation and enjoyment
