Casa de Vilacetinho Grande Reserva 2022 White Wine

Casa de Vilacetinho Grande Reserva White Wine is an Avesso with character, fermented and aged in French oak barrels for a year, showcasing the structure and complexity of a grape variety with great longevity. With hints of vanilla, this is a gastronomic wine filled with freshness and minerality.

The Casa de Vilacetinho, located in Alpendurada overlooking the Douro River, is home to 30 hectares of vineyards that flourish in a continuous and orderly manner on granitic terrains. With a predominantly southern exposure, it becomes one of the most favorable locations in the demarcated region of Vinho Verde for the production of high-quality wines.

This white wine from the Vinho Verde Region is made from the Alvarinho grape variety, under the production of Rita Marques, has a charming and sophisticated expression. The tasting notes stand out for their aromatic complexity, with vibrant citrus and green apple aromas, which are complemented by floral nuances and an intriguing touch of salinity.

On the palate, the experience is equally captivating: the wine reveals a crunchy, structured texture, combined with a refreshing acidity that provides a perfect balance. The persistent mineral finish emphasises the wine's freshness, making it an ideal choice for summer.

Quinta de Marrocos Ruby Port Wine

€9.25
Prestige Wines Portugal ,

Quinta de Marrocos vineyards extend up to 180m altitude, on terraces supported by stone walls. Exposure to the north is one of the key points, favoring a slow maturation of grapes: the altitude offers warm temperatures, the river breeze cools the vineyards at night. The average slope of 80% prevents mechanization, requiring an "heroic" viticulture. All work is manual, a century-old heritage that we want to keep, in respect for the age of the vines and the quality of the grapes. The low yields are inherent to this type of vines, without irrigation, in low fertility and a slightly acid pH schist soils.
