Filipa Pato Flos Castanea 2022 White Wine

Filipa Pato Flos Castanea White Wine has a distinct touch of flowers (camomile, thyme flower), pears (typical Bical) and a slightly velvety character (hazelnuts, almonds, pine). After some time in the glass, it reveals even more thyme and honey. It will develop further with some time in the bottle. The palate is creamy, relatively smooth and has an intriguing minerality, spicy flavour and good length.

Quinta do Poço do Lobo Cabernet Sauvignon 1986 Red Wine

Prestige Wines Portugal ,
5/ 5

In the glass, Quinta do Poço do Lobo Cabernet Sauvignon 1986 shows a garnet color fading toward mahogany, with aromas of red and black berries, floral notes, and secondary hints of coffee, smoke, and subtle spice. On the palate, notes of peppery spices, smooth yet present tannins, and refreshing acidity persist, leading to a long, dry finish with a nuanced interplay of sweet and sour flavors. The alcohol content is around 12% by volume, reflective of the era’s style. Ideal with red meats, game, and semi‑soft cheeses, this wine offers a nostalgic glimpse into classic Portuguese Cabernet heritage

Years available for purchase. Sidónio de Sousa Vinha do Autor 2019 Red Wine

€48.85
Prestige Wines Portugal ,
5/ 5

Sidónio de Sousa Vinha do Autor reveals intense and bright ruby colour, slightly smoky berry aroma. On the palate we are surprised by its vibrant acidity and freshness, with tannins that are present but already partially soft, due to the long ageing in vats, without showing any presence of wood in the wine. It's a wine that stands out for its persistence and ability to age in the bottle for another 10 to 15 years. It should be consumed in moderation.
