<p></p><p>The Quinta do Côtto, in Cidadelhe, relatively close to the Régua, is a property of 75 hectares of vineyard and a plot built in the eighteenth century. The owners of the farm, the Montez Champalimaud family, exclusively produced Port wine until the beginning of the 20th century. In 1980 Miguel Champalimaud launched the first Quinta do Côtto Grande Escolha, consolidating the concept of Douro's quinta wines, which are still rare in the region.<br />The Quinta do Côtto brand has grown greatly in notoriety since then, until it became one of the most classic and prestigious references in the Douro region</p>

<p></p><p>Quinta da Pacheca is one of the best known estates in the Douro region and also one of the first properties to bottle wine under its own label. It is first mentioned in a document dated April 1738 but it was only in 1903, when Dom José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his interest in oenology, began to seriously dedicate himself to the risky business of winemaking. <p>The first ODISSEIA wines were produced in 2004 but Jean-Hugues Gros had already been working in the Douro region since 1999.</p> <p>He has found in the Douro region a wine making potential that allows the development of a wide variety of elegant and versatile <em>terroir</em> wines.</p>

<p></p><p>The grapes used for the Redoma White come from old vines growing on the right bank of the Douro River, at an altitude of 500 to 600 metres. The predominant grape varieties are Rabigato, Cega do Larinho, Viosinho, Donzelinho and Gouveio. The mica schist soils in which these vines thrive lend the resulting wines plenty of minerality, elegance and vibrant freshness.</p>
