Tasting Notes
Aroma dominated by notes of pepper and tobacco leaves of the Mencía variety, with a very fine and delicate set. It is vibrant with very silky tannins combined with a remarkable structure with depth. Very long and persistent finish.

<p>Quinta da Extrema Ensaios Extremes Touriga Nacional Red Wine is crafted from the finest parcels of Touriga Nacional grapes, situated at an altitude of 450 meters on transitional granite and slate soils. This unique positioning of the vineyards provides the grapes with optimal maturation and balance. The selection and harvesting of the grapes are done manually, ensuring that only the best are placed in 20 kg boxes for transportation. Once they reach the winery, the grapes undergo cold maceration for 48 hours in stainless steel tanks. The fermentation process then begins, lasting between 7 to 10 days at a controlled temperature of 23ºC. An integral part of the process is malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels which contributes to the robust and complex flavor profile of the wine.</p>
